Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and security-cleared Mechanical Design Engineer to provide comprehensive design support within the defence sector. The successful candidate will initially support one key project, with the potential to transition to other projects as needed. This role requires proficiency in CREO and a commitment to delivering high-quality results from requirement to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Design Engineering Support: Provide expert mechanical design support, ensuring all designs meet project specifications and standards.
  • CAD Proficiency: Utilize CREO for design tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all CAD-related activities.
  • Project Management: Support the delivery of projects from initial requirements through to completion, maintaining timelines and quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed design documentation and provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other project components.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably within the defence sector.
  • Skills: Proficiency in CREO, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
  • Security Clearance: Must be SC Cleared and a British National.
