We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP CAP Java Developer to support an international SAP S/4HANA transformation and rollout program. The consultant will be responsible for designing and developing cloud-based applications and extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) with Java. The project landscape includes SAP S/4HANA Service/Order Management, IFS, ServiceNow and a Service Technician application, requiring scalable extensions and seamless interaction between SAP and surrounding applications.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop applications and extensions on SAP BTP using CAP Java.

• Build cloud-native services based on the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model.

• Develop APIs and services required to integrate BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA and surrounding systems.

• Implement business logic and backend services using Java.

• Work with CDS models, OData services and REST APIs.

• Contribute to side-by-side extension scenarios for SAP S/4HANA.

• Ensure applications follow SAP BTP and clean-core principles.

• Support integration with S/4HANA Service/Order Management and related applications.

• Work closely with functional consultants, integration developers and solution architects.

• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design and Explore workshops.

• Perform unit and integration testing and support deployment, migration and go-live activities.

• Troubleshoot application and integration issues across the BTP landscape.

• Contribute to reusable solutions and standards for future international rollouts.

• Create technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to the product team.

What You'll Bring Along

• Minimum 4-7 years of strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP development.

• Practical experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).

• Strong development experience with Java.

• Good knowledge of: CDS / Core Data Services, OData, REST APIs, SAP BTP services, Cloud-native application development.

• Experience integrating BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA transformation and rollout programs.

• Understanding of authentication, authorization and security concepts in SAP BTP.

• Experience with Git and modern development/CI-CD practices.

• Good understanding of enterprise integration concepts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Professional proficiency in English or German is required.
