About the Role

As the Laboratory QA & Sustainability Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating laboratory activities, maintaining quality and compliance systems, supporting sustainability reporting, and ensuring accurate analytical testing to support winery operations. This hands-on role combines technical laboratory expertise with quality assurance, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate laboratory testing activities, ensuring accurate and timely analytical results to support wine production.
  • Maintain laboratory quality systems, equipment calibration programs, SOPs, and controlled documentation.
  • Compile and analyse laboratory, quality, and sustainability KPI data, providing insights and reporting to support business performance.
  • Support internal and external audit programs, including food safety, quality, environmental, HACCP, and organic certification audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory, quality assurance, and sustainability systems.

About You

You are a highly organised laboratory professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for quality, compliance, and sustainability. You thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

What You'll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a laboratory environment, ideally within the food, beverage, wine, or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working within documented quality management systems and audit environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting systems, coupled with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
