Sales Data Analyst

Introduction:

We are a leading independent telecoms infrastructure company, with one of the most extensive tower portfolios across Africa and the Middle East. What we do:

We build, acquire, lease-up and operate telecommunications towers that can accommodate and power the needs of multiple tenants. Our tenants are the major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and we serve them across nine high-growth markets (8 in Africa + Oman in the Middle East). Overview

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will provide analytical and operational support across key sales processes, customer and site data management, project workflows, invoice reviews and performance reporting. Working closely with Account Managers and cross-functional teams, you will maintain accurate commercial information, customer documentation and sales trackers, while gathering business intelligence on market competition and customer needs.

Role Responsibilities

As the Sales Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:

Leadership and Team Collaboration

  • Taking responsibility for your own learning and development.

  • Providing the line manager with updates on work accomplishments and individual or team challenges.

Governance and Operational Performance

  • Working to achieve operational targets that have a significant impact on departmental results.
  • Setting up and managing ad hoc meetings for day-to-day operational requirements, as needed.
  • Resolving escalations in line with defined escalation and resolution procedures.
  • Improving productivity and quality through leading-practice initiatives.
  • Providing progress and performance inputs to the line manager in accordance with the organisation's measurement metrics.
  • Complying with HT policies and procedures and supporting the implementation of HSE strategies where required.

Sales Operations and Data Management

  • Supporting the Sales team on key sales processes, including service request folders, additional fee calculations and the preparation of Instruction to Proceed (ITP) files.
  • Managing and updating site inventory for all customers in collaboration with Account Managers, Projects and Operations teams.
  • Keeping Siterra information and workflows up to date for all ongoing projects.
  • Supporting monthly and quarterly invoice reviews.
  • Onboarding and managing small customers, including Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and radio stations.
  • Maintaining sales trackers and consolidating monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Maintaining customer documentation, including ITPs and Individual Site Licences (ISLs).
  • Proactively gathering and communicating business intelligence on market competition and customer needs to the relevant teams within the organisation.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Projects, Legal, SAQ, Finance, Operations, Performance Engineering and the wider HT organisation.
  • Supporting effective relationships with external stakeholders, including MNOs, ISPs, TV and radio broadcasters, fibre providers and ICT providers.

Requirements for the Role

To succeed in the role, you will be / will have:

  • A degree in Business Studies, Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a structured telecommunications environment, such as a mobile network operator, infrastructure company or service provider.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a B2B corporate account role, preferably with a mobile network operator, a major telecommunications vendor such as Huawei, Ericsson or NSN, or in the banking industry.
