Job Title: Lead, Systems Engineer - Secret Security Clearance

Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

As a System Engineer, you will support mission‑critical initiatives across several emerging mission areas. In this role, you will help architect mission concepts and solutions, define system requirements, develop CONOPS and use cases, and create/manage systems engineering artifacts across the full system lifecycle.

This role includes on‑site support at Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB) and requires close collaboration with product owners and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver end‑to‑end architectural solutions that meet evolving mission needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Architect mission concepts and solutions; develop system CONOPS and use cases.
  • Generate system requirements, managed requirements decomposition and traceability.
  • Collaborate with product owners to capture evolving requirements and refine system concepts.
  • Produce and maintain system diagrams, interface drawings, and system engineering artifacts.
  • Support design reviews, readiness reviews, and cross‑team coordination to ensure mission objectives are met.
  • Create and manage lifecycle system documentation and artifacts for end‑to‑end mission solutions.
  • Lead system end-to-end integration, verification, and lab infrastructure and activities.
  • Work with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams to align implementation approaches with system‑level design and mission needs.
  • Contribute to system integration planning and risk identification.
  • Apply strong communication and leadership skills to influence technical direction across teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active TS/SCI
  • 5+ years systems engineering experience
  • Knowledge of system architecture and design
  • Experience with Defense standard development cycles, phases, and gate reviews
  • Experience supporting complex mission or system development environments.
  • Experience with Digital Engineering (MBSE, Cameo, SysML)
  • Strong background in systems engineering, including requirements definition and system architecture.
  • Experience with cloud‑based solutions.
