Summary of Key Responsibilities:
The post-holder is responsible to:
◾ Assist the Manger Engineering in the establishment of standards and the issuance of
specifications for the overhaul, maintenance and safe operation of the company’s aircraft,
components and test equipment.
◾Assist the Manger Engineering to evaluate performance and problems related to the
company’s aircraft and its related equipment and provide the necessary guidance for
unusual technical problems.
◾Review Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, In-Service Activity Reports, Incident
Reports and other similar documents and initiate company action, as necessary.
◾Assist the Manger Engineering in the management of the engine shop visit maintenance
program to facilitate and maintain a safe and cost-effective operation.
◾Assist the Manger Engineering respond to quality deficiencies in the area of activity for
which he/she is responsible, that may arise from independent quality audits.
◾ Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of aircraft engineering developments in the
industry, relative to the company, and make recommendations as necessary to maintain an
efficient and economic operation.
Requirements
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Knowledge:
◾Must possess a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License without type rating
issued by a licensing authority specified in OTAR Part 66.51.
◾Must be the holder of or previously held full certifying authority on the B737-NG / or B737-
8 MAX aircraft in either the A & C or Avionics category, or similar aircraft.
◾Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science/Engineering or a minimum of 10 years of
experience as an approved engineer on the B737-NG / -8 MAX or similar aircraft, with
comprehensive hand-on practical experience.
◾Experience in a technical support, production planning or engineering coordination role
will be an advantage.
◾Familiarity with OTARs, CAMO environments and Microsoft Office.

◾The exacting requirements of working on/or around aircraft necessitate that individual be
disciplined, honest and trustworthy.
◾Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels internal and external to the
organization.
◾Must have good management, administrative and organizational skills.
◾Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
◾Must have the presence to assume responsibility for the technical standards of the
equipment operated by Cayman Airways.
◾Must have a crucial respect for accuracy and the value of time.
◾Must be willing to work on call, nights and weekends when required.
◾Must possess a comprehensive working knowledge of all aspects of the Company’s
procedures and policies, both technical and administrative.
