The Senior Financial Analyst will work with Divisional, Regional and Corporate teams to analyze trends, metrics and perform analysis to support operational and financial business decisions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Developing proformas, performing financial due diligence, post-closing transition and synergy tracking for potential acquisition targets.
2. Assist in reviewing actual financial and operational data to identify opportunities to improve existing operations. 3. Assist in raising capital from debt/equity sources and assist with the ongoing administration of the current and future debt facilities 4. Leverages industry-leading process improvement methods, operational and financial experience to provide insights related to performance. 5. Operational understanding of the waste industry and the ability to determine and share methods for achieving goals and objectives. 6. Preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements and debt covenant compliance calculations 7. Assist in completing specific segments of annual corporate budget 8. Works in partnership and consults with the appropriate departments to achieve goals and objectives. 9. Conducts ad hoc analysis and makes recommendations. 10. Analyzes financial and business trends and deviations (actual performance to budget/plan), KPI tracking 11. Ensures compliance in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate finance policies & procedures, internal control processes and established finance reporting requirements. 12. Actively uses financial/accounting automation tools (e.g. Solomon, Dossier) to prepare, maintain, derive and share data. 13. Identifies and implements cost reduction and profit improvement strategies.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- BS, BA or BBA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration preferred.
2. 7+ years progressive accounting/financial management experience. 3. 3+ years direct finance/accounting or operational experience within the Waste Industry preferred. 4. Ability to manage complex and dynamic situations requiring a well-developed sense of strategic and tactical priorities. 5. High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented with ability to work cross-functionally within a matrix organization. 6. Proven analytical, negotiation and implementation skills. 7. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 8. Applied familiarity with financial/accounting software packages/systems (MS Dynamics SL, Dossier, Tower, SAP). 9. Demonstrated uncompromising personal integrity and ethics. 10. Committed to continuous improvement of quality, quantity, and timely project delivery. 11. Solid project management, oral and written communication skills.

* Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned. * Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA. * Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
