This is a role within the Castrol organisation and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.

Let me tell you about the role

Lead the country marketing to support the delivery of volume, turnover, gross margin and market share target in assigned space. This role helps in managing the product portfolio and leading the execution of strategic Global offers/programmes in market.

What you will deliver

  • Lead the INDUSTRIAL power brand marketing planning in-country and lead country activation of all agreed marketing activities
  • Lead all product portfolio innovation from development to landing to the market, balanced life cycle management (Phase In & Out) and new product launch assets & toolkit development & activation plan to deliver overall INDUSTRIAL portfolio strategy and business objective
  • Lead pricing related initiatives implementation including any pricing change e.g. pricing increase, pricing monitoring and pricing waterfall file.
  • Accountable for implementing new offers and major strategic brand campaigns in market
  • Agree market implementation plans for new offers with global INDUSTRIAL marketing partners and the PU marketing team
  • Work closely with the country and PU marketing and sales teams to develop the right mix of activation activity within the marketing plan
  • Work with agencies to plan activation
  • Lead internal relationships within the wider Castrol marketing functions to enable successful implementation of offers. Look for alignments in INDUSTRIAL activity across the PU
  • Monitor success against Key Performance Indicators to and Return on Investment to ensure marketing effectiveness and cost efficiency
  • Ensure safe on-the-ground activation
  • Act as focal point for understanding the customer segments, buyer journeys and integrated customer experience – be the “go to” expert for INDUSTRIAL channels and products in the country
  • Help to inform and develop PU strategy for INDUSTRIAL where requested
  • Manage the Product portfolio to deliver near- and long-term growth targets consistent with global space/brand strategies
  • Ensure full compliance with bp protocols including NPR, competition law, E&C, ASP management, P2P, brand identity guardrails, product rules of the game
  • Manage merchandise and collateral for activations
  • Act as BP Contract Accountable Manager to ensure safe execution of the contracted work while applying the Working with Contractor process throughout, where relevant
  • Participate in digital product management, where relevant/assigned

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

Education:

Degree: University of Technology or University of Science and Technology is preferable.

Experience

Demonstrated experience in product and/or channel marketing, particularly in B2B (>5 years)

Experience of working in global matrix organizations

Strong marketing planning and project management skills – demonstrated through a history of successful execution

Ability to successfully build enduring and productive relationships and work with cross functional teams

Strong sector experience / understanding is an advantage
