Manager, Software Engineering (Fullstack)
📍 Location: Hyderabad 🏢 Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and people-focused Manager, Software Engineering to develop and lead high-performing technical teams in the delivery of quality products in a timely manner. In this role, you'll collaborate with technical leaders across the organization to ensure a cohesive product suite, drive engineering excellence, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Ensure delivery of timely, high-quality results by collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet business requirements — helping the team align with the prioritized backlog, contributing to technical solutions, and defining user stories; maintain alignment with product vision through frequent communication with technical leadership and product owners.
- Lead a team to understand, adhere to, and consistently implement the software development lifecycle; establish team organization in support of product direction; proactively identify and communicate potential roadblocks to the team and leadership.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on assistance while promoting a team culture centered on security, quality, and engineering agility; remove barriers to enable team productivity; execute and continuously improve department processes and standards.
- Manage and lead the execution of department benchmarks, protocols, and objectives; assess employee and team performance against established quality metrics; hold direct reports accountable and provide timely, constructive feedback; contribute to and manage the approved budget.
- Perform all managerial functions — including hiring, compensation management, employment relations, and termination — while developing team members through coaching and personal growth in functional expertise, communication skills, and client and peer interaction; identify and develop future leaders.
- Operate as a thought leader within the team; serve as an escalation point for issues; provide guidance, resolve obstacles, and collaborate with cross-departmental stakeholders to achieve mutual goals; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department.

Role Essentials
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with relevant software industry experience and demonstrated technical skills to effectively lead and manage technical teams.
- Excellent leadership, sound judgment, and business acumen, with strong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills; able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a professional demeanor; strong interpersonal, facilitation, and project management skills with the ability to maintain rapport across all levels of the organization.
- Experience with Agile or willingness to adopt Agile/Scrum principles; proficiency with CI/CD principles; sharp, fast learner with technology curiosity and aptitude.
- Demonstrated fiscal responsibility in managing budgets; strong ability to handle sensitive information with discretion; effective at establishing trust and gaining consensus; on-call/after-hours escalation may be required; up to 5% travel time required.

- Self-motivated with strong follow-through and attention to detail; demonstrated experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and products, including Microsoft Outlook or equivalent.
- Strong business and technology acumen, with experience contributing to approved budgets and managing departmental financial accountability.
