We're looking for a proactive Master Data & BI Analyst to join our IT team and help strengthen Barker's data quality, reporting capability, and business intelligence practices.

This hands-on role plays a key part in ensuring trusted master data, meaningful insights, and effective reporting are available across the organisation. You'll work closely with teams across Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and R&D, helping turn data into better decisions and drive continuous improvement.

The Role

As a Master Data & BI Analyst, you'll take ownership of critical master data processes while supporting and enhancing business intelligence and reporting solutions across Barker's.

This is a role with visibility and impact across the business, where you'll balance day-to-day operational support with longer-term improvements to data quality, reporting, and business insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve key master data, including products, customers, suppliers, pricing, and business hierarchies.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across systems.
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation, standards, and processes for master data management.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, datasets, and reports.
  • Support business teams with reporting, analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Write SQL queries and work with business data sources to deliver accurate insights.
  • Assist in the administration and governance of reporting environments.
  • Support Barker's cloud-based data platform and data integration processes.
  • Contribute to automation, digital improvement, and emerging AI initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and improve data accessibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
  • Provide support and training for Power BI users and business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with teams across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and R&D.
  • Build strong working relationships and promote a culture of data quality and continuous improvement.

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Snowflake
  • Python
  • APIs and data integrations
  • Data warehouses
  • Modern cloud-based data platforms

A tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience is equally valued.
