We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager with strong technical judgement, people-management capabilities, and experience driving complex engineering initiatives.
You will lead an engineering team and help improve product delivery, system reliability, and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires the ability to connect business priorities with long-term technical development, identify critical issues across the engineering organization, and drive continuous improvements in team capability, engineering practices, and delivery mechanisms.
You will also play a key role in major technical decisions, complex projects, and the continued development of the engineering organization.

Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of an engineering team, including goal setting, resource planning, team development, and capability building.
- Contribute to engineering strategy and planning, translating business objectives into appropriate technical and organizational priorities.
- Lead important engineering projects from requirements analysis and solution design through resource coordination, delivery, and post-launch improvement.
- Participate in architecture design and technical reviews for core systems, identify key risks, and drive issues to resolution.
- Continuously improve engineering processes, development standards, and quality mechanisms to enhance delivery efficiency and system reliability.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across product, AI, engineering, and other relevant teams to achieve complex goals.
- Identify long-term issues within the technology stack and engineering organization, and promote reusable solutions and systematic improvements.
- Remain closely involved in critical technical decisions and complex problem-solving, balancing delivery speed, technical quality, and long-term sustainability.
- Build a strong talent pipeline through hiring, coaching, performance feedback, and the development of key team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Extensive software engineering experience, together with experience managing an engineering or technical team.
- Proven experience leading the design, development, and delivery of complex systems or large-scale engineering projects.
- Strong technical foundations and sound architectural judgement, with the ability to understand and challenge important technical decisions.
- Good understanding of the full software development lifecycle, with a systematic view of engineering quality, delivery efficiency, system reliability, and development standards.
- Deep practical experience in one or more areas such as backend engineering, platform engineering, data engineering, test automation, quality engineering, or engineering productivity.
- Ability to identify engineering problems at both system and process levels, and drive solutions through technology, tools, operating mechanisms, and team collaboration.
- Strong goal-setting, project-management, and cross-functional execution skills, with the ability to deliver results in complex environments.
- Proven people-management and talent-development capabilities, with experience building stable and effective engineering teams.
- Ability to balance business priorities, technical quality, system complexity, and long-term architectural evolution.
- Strong communication skills, ownership, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different functions and levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with enterprise software, SaaS, AI-powered products, or other technically complex products.
- Experience with data-intensive systems, automated testing frameworks, engineering quality systems, or internal engineering platforms.
- Experience building an engineering team, technical system, or development practice from the ground up.
- Experience with cross-team technical governance, engineering transformation, or organizational change.
- A track record of combining strong people leadership with active involvement in core technical and architectural decisions.
