Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Middleware Support Engineer to provide operational support for enterprise middleware and API management platforms. The role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical integration services built on IBM middleware technologies. As part of a 24x7 production support organization, the engineer will lead complex incident resolution, perform advanced troubleshooting, monitor middleware platforms, and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver highly available integration services.
Key Responsibilities• Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for enterprise middleware and API platforms.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production incidents affecting middleware services and API integrations.
- Support IBM API Connect, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) environments.
- Monitor middleware infrastructure, integration services, and API gateways to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions to minimize recurring incidents.
- Manage middleware deployments, configuration changes, patches, and environment maintenance.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Support API lifecycle management, gateway operations, and integration services.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Participate in release planning, production readiness reviews, and post-deployment validation.
- Mentor junior support engineers and provide technical leadership during major incidents.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, SLAs, and ITIL best practices.
