QA Engineer - Automation

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer with hands-on experience in automation and functional testing to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to Java with Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, Robot Framework, and JavaScript/Python, along with a solid understanding of testing methodologies and Agile practices.

Educational Qualifications: UG: B.E/B.Tech or PG: MCA/MSC IT

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated and functional test cases to ensure high-quality software delivery.

• Perform automation testing using tools such as Robot Framework (Python)

OR Playwright for web applications.

• Write and maintain automation scripts using JavaScript/Python/Java and related frameworks.

• Execute functional, system, integration, regression, and performance testing.

• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and application behavior.

• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using issue-tracking tools like Jira.

• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Perform root cause analysis and support troubleshooting of customer-reported issues.

• Ensure testing activities align with company standards and industry best practices.

• Conduct testing across multiple technology components and environments.

• Continuously improve automation coverage and test efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.

• Hands-on experience with automation and functional testing.

• Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework (Python) OR strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.

• Proficiency Selenium, Cucumber, or similar automation tools.

• Working knowledge of JavaScript for test automation.

• Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems (Jira).

• Ability to create and execute functional, system, and integration test cases.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to Have:

• Experience testing cloud-ready or cloud-native applications.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.

• Knowledge of API testing tools and basic performance testing concepts.
