Job DetailsJob Location: Arlington, VA 22202Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 SalaryTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: Professional ServicesMayvin is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Office of Financial Management in the Judicial Security Division of the U.S. Marshals Service. The Financial Analyst will provide expert administrative and financial support, assisting with budget execution, financial tracking, documentation preparation, and the development of reports and presentations.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must undergo and pass a background investigtion.
Responsibilities:
Process financial documents and transactions using the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) Review accounting practices to ensure compliance with other Federal laws and regulations (e.g., Single Audit Act), generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant Office Management and Budget circulars Identify corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds Review and analyze annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance Minimum 3 years of experience reviewing and analyzing annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures Minimum 3 years of experience in budget execution during a fiscal year budget cycle Minimum 3 years of experience in preparing and presenting a status of funds for higher-level management Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with superior Excel skills (V-look up, Pivot Tables, etc.)
