Associate IT Business Systems Analyst

Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital logistics, warehousing, technology, procure-to-pay and accounts payable.

We are currently recruiting for an Associate IT Business Systems Analyst to support our IT Member Services team.

Position Overview

The Associate IT Business Systems Analyst role serves as the bridge between business challenges and technological solutions. This role requires an adept understanding of business needs, analyzing processes, and designing systems that enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall business performance, while having a keen eye for detail and a strong grasp of both technical and business domains.

They are responsible for ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into workable technological solutions and critical to ensuring that technology investments deliver the intended business value to MMC Customers and support MMC's organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in small and medium-sized IT Business system initiatives in areas of responsibility.
  • Gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide end user support to optimize IT business solutions.
  • Provide quality assurance of documentation, testing, configuration and development completed by third parties.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for implemented systems, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments or upgrades.

Education, Training, and Experience

Mandatory

  • College Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Business Analysis, Business or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years’ of progressive work experience in Information Systems and Technology or similar team
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office tools suite.
  • Working towards Business Analyst or Project Management certification/Designation
  • Experienced in providing business end user support.
  • Ability to work with multi-functional teams.

Preferred

  • Experience working in supply chain and/or non-public sector organization.
  • University Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Analysis.

Travel

  • Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.

MMC is a Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) employer offering a comprehensive benefits package and flexible remote work options. The targeted hiring range of this role is $53,736 - $67,170 dependent on experience. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
