S & D Engineer
Job Role: A hands-on technical role supporting the configuration, integration, and day-to-day delivery of distribution systems within the telco ecosystem. The role sits between business requirements and system implementation — executing configuration tasks, building and testing integrations, and troubleshooting data flow issues across DMS, ERP, and BSS layers under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Requirement Support: Help gather and document business requirements for Sales and Supply Chain systems, and translate them into clear technical specifications and configuration tasks.
• System Configuration: Perform configuration of Distribution Management Systems (DMS) and support their integration with ERP and BSS layers for subscriber activation and financial posting.
• Integration & Interface Testing: Build, test, and troubleshoot API integrations between DMS, ERP, and Telco BSS — using Postman to validate endpoints, interpreting API specifications, and verifying request/response payloads to ensure data integrity.
• Delivery Support & Troubleshooting: Execute assigned tasks within system enhancement projects, run data validation queries, inspect application logs, and produce flowcharts/documentation for distribution scenarios.
Educational Background & Experience:
• Academic: Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics/Statistics.
• Professional Experience: 1–3 years of experience in systems integration, application support, or supply chain/distribution technology. Fresh graduates with strong hands-on technical skills and relevant internship/project experience will be considered.
Hard Skills (Technical Competence):
• API & Integration: Practical experience testing and troubleshooting APIs with Postman; ability to read and interpret API specifications (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML) and trace integration issues across system interfaces.
• Database: Ability to write and run SQL queries (SELECT, JOINs, filtering, aggregation) against distribution/subscriber data. Familiarity with Oracle SQL/PL/SQL is a plus.
• Unix/Linux: Comfortable working on the command line for everyday tasks — navigating the filesystem, inspecting and grepping log files, checking process/service status, and basic troubleshooting.
• Process & Documentation: Ability to map processes and create technical flowcharts; familiarity with requirement/ticketing tools (e.g., Jira) and configuration modules in distribution platforms.
