This is a strategic UX leadership role focused on designing complex, high-volume workflows that help professionals complete critical tasks with less time, friction, and error. You will shape the experience strategy for major product initiatives while balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical realities. You will work closely with product, engineering, research, and other cross-functional teams to create scalable and consistent experiences. As a design leader, you will influence strategic decisions, mentor other designers, and raise the quality and consistency of UX across the organization. The role offers an opportunity to shape long-term product vision while delivering measurable improvements to complex digital experiences.

Accountabilities:

  • Define UX strategies, frameworks, and operating approaches for complex, multi-team initiatives, ensuring design activities align with product roadmaps, business objectives, timelines, and measurable success criteria.
  • Lead planning sessions and cross-functional alignment activities that establish scope, priorities, responsibilities, and desired outcomes across product, design, engineering, and other disciplines.
  • Shape research agendas and integrate insights from multiple data sources to guide strategic design direction, prioritize important unknowns, and identify high-value opportunities.
  • Create scalable information architecture frameworks across multiple workflows and systems, aligning navigation, content structures, terminology, and naming conventions while validating solutions through research and iterative testing.
  • Design system-level interaction models and reusable experience frameworks that create consistency across products, while promoting accessibility, scalability, maintainability, and strong usability practices.
  • Establish visual direction for complex experiences and contribute to the evolution of design standards and systems, collaborating with engineering and marketing to maintain a coherent product experience.
  • Oversee design delivery and implementation planning across product teams, establishing standards for design quality, QA, usability validation, fidelity, and effective collaboration with engineering.
  • Facilitate high-impact design workshops and cross-disciplinary planning sessions, helping teams navigate competing priorities, resolve ambiguity, and reach informed decisions.
  • Develop compelling design narratives that communicate strategy and vision clearly to different audiences, influence senior stakeholders, and inspire action across teams.
  • Mentor and coach designers through complex problem spaces, provide design critique and guidance, and help strengthen UX capabilities across the organization.
  • Drive measurable improvements in UX execution, user understanding, design consistency, and business impact through systems thinking, research leadership, and strategic design direction.

Requirements:

  • Bring 7+ years of experience in UX or product design, including at least 2 years in a leadership, strategic, or similarly senior design role.
  • Demonstrate strong experience designing B2B products and complex, multi-step, high-volume workflows, with a portfolio showing leadership across sophisticated and successfully shipped digital products.
  • Hold a bachelor's or advanced degree in Design, HCI, or a related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent senior-level professional experience.
  • Have a proven track record of leading large-scale design initiatives that deliver measurable value for both users and the business.
  • Bring deep expertise in user research, information architecture, interaction design, design systems, systems thinking, and product strategy alignment.
  • Demonstrate expert-level proficiency with design and collaboration tools such as Figma and Miro, along with the ability to establish effective design workflows across teams.
  • Be highly comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, complex stakeholder environments, and large-scale product initiatives while maintaining strategic focus.
  • Possess exceptional facilitation, communication, storytelling, and stakeholder influence skills, with the ability to guide senior decision-makers toward clear outcomes.
  • Have a strong understanding of research methodologies and the ability to translate research findings into strategic design decisions and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to coach designers, provide meaningful feedback, and develop team capability through mentorship, critique, and hands-on guidance.
  • Bring experience working across multiple product domains, platforms, and stakeholder groups, with the ability to create consistent experiences across complex product ecosystems.
  • Understand technical constraints and modern development workflows, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams throughout design and implementation.
  • Demonstrate visionary thinking and the ability to balance long-term design direction with practical near-term delivery.

Benefits:

  • Salary range of $140,000–$190,000 CAD, with starting compensation determined by factors including experience, skills, responsibilities, and overall qualifications. The source posting specifies this compensation range for Canada.
  • Remote work opportunity across the United States and Canada.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Holiday and vacation time.
  • Health and wellness days.
  • A bonus day off for your birthday.
  • A people-focused environment emphasizing trust, inclusion, collaboration, and professional growth.
