About the job

The role holder will analyze manufacturing operations across all FS sites and drive the implementation of systems, methods, and technologies to improve, optimize, and modernize production processes. The position will also be responsible for standardizing manufacturing processes and tools across the FS network, based on feasibility and business case assessments.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement, optimize and continuously improve MSA at all FS manufacturing plants
  • Create and implement computational models for the calculation of processing times based on the identified and relevant parameters
  • Mentor and train manufacturing engineers at all FS sites on the MSA system and conduct periodic audits
  • Identify opportunities to implement new manufacturing systems to improve processes, drive standardization and reduce costs
  • Trial new systems, methods and technologies in pilot site(s) to validate before full-scale rollout. Collaborate with VP of Operations Engineering team as needed.
  • Prepare capital investment requests, and oversee implementation of projects for manufacturing systems and technologies and other capital projects as required
  • Conduct periodic assessments at FS sites to ensure compliance with established manufacturing standards
  • Advise plant managers on new concepts, tools, methods and techniques to continuously improve manufacturing operations

Requirements

• College degree with a technical profile

• Knowledge of process engineering in production

• Proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills

• Good English language skills

• Knowledge of the PBS System

• Project management practical skills

• Continuous improvement oriented (looking for new solutions, LEAN attitude)

• Efficient time management

  • Willingness to undertake international business travel (15-20% of working time), mostly to sites in Asia and Mexico
