Position Summary
Wichita Tribal Enterprise, a Quivera Enterprises company, is seeking an experienced System Administrator II to support the enterprise infrastructure, hosting environments, and operational technology stack supporting the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) platform and enterprise Data Operations Center (DOC). This position provides Tier II/III operational support, systems administration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical leadership for mission-critical infrastructure supporting federal customers.
The System Administrator II is responsible for administering IBM Maximo environments, Microsoft Windows and Linux servers, VMware virtualization infrastructure, and enterprise datacenter technologies while ensuring high availability, security, performance, and compliance. This role also serves as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting shared services infrastructure initiatives and enterprise modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
IBM Maximo Platform Administration
- Administer and support IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) environments, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Manage Maximo identity management, authentication services, LDAP/Active Directory integration, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Perform user administration, role-based security configuration, permissions management, and environment provisioning.
- Support Maximo integrations, interface connections, middleware, and change management activities.
- Assist with Maximo upgrades, patches, fixes, and application lifecycle management.
Enterprise Infrastructure Administration
- Provide Tier II/III operational support for enterprise infrastructure and production environments.
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain enterprise operating systems and infrastructure components.
- Monitor server health, application performance, storage utilization, hardware resources, and system capacity.
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, virtualization, and application issues while minimizing operational downtime.
- Optimize system performance, resource allocation, and infrastructure efficiency.
Server, Operating System & Virtualization Administration
- Administer Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and other enterprise management technologies.
- Manage VMware infrastructure including ESXi hosts, vCenter, virtual machines, templates, snapshots, clusters, storage, and resource pools.
- Perform server provisioning, migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
Data Operations Center (DOC) Support
- Support enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations.
- Maintain operational readiness of enterprise datacenter hardware and infrastructure.
- Support racks, power distribution, cabling, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Utilize Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools to monitor infrastructure performance and availability.
- Support physical security systems and access controls associated with enterprise datacenter operations.
Scripting & Automation
- Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using PowerShell, Visual Basic, .NET, C#, or comparable scripting languages.
- Automate routine administration, reporting, monitoring, and operational tasks.
- Support configuration management and process automation initiatives.
Documentation & Change Management
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, system diagrams, implementation plans, and knowledge base articles.
- Support configuration management, change control, release management, and operational documentation.
- Participate in system audits and documentation reviews.
Project Leadership
- Lead small to medium infrastructure implementation projects.
- Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert supporting enterprise shared services initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, application teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve highly complex technical issues while providing technical guidance to junior administrators.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Government security clearance or federal suitability determination.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting IBM Maximo or IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) environments (required).
- Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience administering VMware ESXi and VMware vCenter environments.
- Experience supporting Microsoft enterprise technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, Microsoft Intune, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience supporting enterprise datacenter operations and infrastructure.
- Experience using DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise backup and disaster recovery technologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure, operating system, virtualization, and application issues independently.
- Experience developing technical documentation and change management artifacts.
- Basic scripting experience using PowerShell, Visual Basic, .NET, C#, or equivalent automation tools.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal government information systems or enterprise hosting environments.
- Experience with IBM Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), automation scripting, or MAS upgrades.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms and infrastructure orchestration technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL Service Management practices.
- Knowledge of NIST security standards and federal cybersecurity requirements.
- Experience supporting highly available enterprise hosting environments.
- Microsoft, VMware, IBM Maximo, Linux, or comparable industry certifications.
