🤝 We have partnered with a US-based Product Company looking to expand their Backend Team. They develop management products that help numerous companies worldwide enhance their efficiency and streamline their operations.

They are currently seeking a candidate based in Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, or Ecuador.

Our Proposal

You will actively participate in the enhancement and evolution of their Java backend applications and systems. You will be an integral part of a collaborative team where Product, Engineering, and Quality Assurance work harmoniously to shape the entire product suite within an agile framework. Your role extends beyond code maintenance; it involves innovating new features, enhancing codebase quality, and exploring emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Java Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of large-scale backend applications. Ensure code quality and support your teammates in maintaining strong engineering standards.

• Distributed Systems Design: Build reliable and fault-tolerant systems using message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.) and implement best practices for scalability and resilience.

• Performance & Architecture: Improve system scalability, reliability, and architectural clarity through thoughtful design and optimization.

• Code Ownership & Delivery: Commit production-ready code, apply design patterns effectively, and solve complex enterprise-level challenges in a dynamic startup environment.

Must-have Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in backend software development with Java.

• Advanced English level for daily communication with native speakers (must to have)

• Solid understanding of message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.) and reliability patterns (retries, DLQs, outbox pattern).

• 4+ years building and maintaining highly scalable, distributed systems.

• Experience with SaaS or Porduct companies.

• Experience with caching systems

• Advanced proficiency in OOP design principles and scalable data structures.

• Strong Experience with SQL and relational databases.

• Experience in greenfield development and building systems from scratch.

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and microservices patterns.

• Experience with Kotlin. (Nice to have)
