Position Overview
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for Sales/Purchasing/Inventory management reporting on all Business Innovation Division businesses (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin and South America) with ability to merge multiple data resources to produce accurate results. This position also has ability to analyze the resulting data and determine where the company can improve and reduce costs. This role will analyze data trends, create reports, and develop dashboards to help stakeholders understand performance metrics and identify opportunities for growth. Collaborate with various departments to support data analysis and reporting initiatives.

Job Description
Responsibilities
- Compile monthly/quarterly/annual BID management/user reports involving Sales, Purchasing and Inventory
- Gather, analyze, and visualize data to identify trends and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) using tools like SQL, Tableau, or Power BI
- Communicate with Management for requirements gathering and analyze for solution proposals
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into dashboard specifications
- Perform complex data analysis, on time, to deliver analytics that will help better business decisions and monitor and improve KPIs
- Provide Ad Hoc management reporting (frequent) and analyze results with recommendations for improvement
- Provide master data files to IT for use in extended BID applications and Web form processes (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Document file system and reporting procedures (as needed)
- Instruct/Train key users on report production, refresh and use.
- Manage File structures and application upgrades as well as Backup/Recovery provisions (as needed)
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide relevant analytical support
- Implement data and file changes based on Business initiatives
- Interface with IT group to implement new reports/processes as well as changes and enhancements
- Address report automation needs to improve timing and reduce manual efforts
- Provide user acceptance testing for upgrades to current business systems
- Related duties as assigned by manager
Required Skills/Education
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as Data Science or Computer Science, or work equivalent
- Five or more years of experience in a related area e.g. data analysis, reporting, and database management
- Extensive knowledge of databases and reporting tools, in particular SQL 2017 or above
- Advanced Proficiency with SAP BI/R3
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable business strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to write clear data documentation and metric definitions
- Comfortable presenting findings to mixed audiences of technical and business stakeholders
- Skilled at identifying when stakeholders are asking the wrong question and redirecting constructively
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening, and presentation skills
- Good time management skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Macro Building, Vlookups, Data Imports)
- An understanding of budgeting procedures, methods, evaluation criteria, and resource planning
- Ability to work outside of normally scheduled hours including Weekends or Holidays approximately 10% of the time
