What You Will Do:

As a Data Scientist Level 3 at Independent Software, you will apply advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques to analyze and assess large-scale datasets. You will design, implement, and deploy AI/ML solutions, including autonomous AI agents, to support complex mission requirements.

This role combines hands-on AI/ML development with model optimization, Large Language Models, and emerging agentic AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Analyze large and complex data holdings to identify patterns, relationships, and trends
  • Apply data science techniques to support and advance CNE capabilities
  • Work with CNO tools and data to support mission requirements
  • Develop innovative analytical approaches for complex data challenges
  • Apply AI and automation techniques to scale analytical processes
  • Develop methods for identifying hidden patterns and generating actionable conclusions
  • Evaluate and refine analytical methods to improve accuracy and scalability
  • Translate complex data findings into meaningful technical and mission insights
  • Collaborate with technical and mission teams to support operational objectives
  • Document analytical methods, findings, and results

Required Skills and Qualifications:  • Strong experience in data science, computer science, data analytics, or a related technical field

  • Experience working with CNO tools and/or CNO data
  • Understanding of CNE capabilities and related technical environments
  • Experience analyzing large and complex datasets
  • Ability to identify hidden patterns, relationships, and trends within large data holdings
  • Experience applying AI and/or automation to data analysis
  • Ability to develop innovative analytical approaches to complex problems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical findings and analytical conclusions effectively

Education and Experience:

Candidates must meet one of the following:  • Master's degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience; OR

  • Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate's degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience

Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

Clearance Requirement:  • Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
