Product Manager, Agents

London, 4x days per week in-office

Vega is looking for A-players who will define and build the next generation of Agentic products that will shape the next era of private markets.

About Vega

Vega is transforming the way private markets operate. Alternative asset management is one of the most influential forces in the global economy, with over $20TN in assets today. Over the next five years, the industry is set to grow 3x, but GPs are facing challenges around their ability to handle the investment flows that are coming in. GPs have been completely underserved by innovation, particularly on the investor relations side.

Vega built the industry’s first AI-native operating system, where all client work gets done - from the start of an investor’s journey to its end. We are rethinking how work gets done in private markets from first principles: the opportunity is big, but it’s also niche, high-stakes, and difficult to get right.

Who we are

We are still at the beginning of our journey. Vega was founded by Alexis Augier, a former investor at Elliott and KKR, and built by talent from the world’s leading technology and financial services firms - including Trade Republic, Revolut, Goldman Sachs, BCG, and more. We have raised $30M so far, with the backing of Apollo (who were a client before becoming an investor), Motive Partners, and 60+ senior executives from the industry. Today, we have over $300B AUM and 30,000 users on the platform, and we have much more left to do.

How we do it

Vega is a fast-growing startup. We want to make this a career-accelerating place for people with the ambition to build something big. If the below sounds appealing, it could be for you:

  • We do not seek consensus. You will be expected to voice opinions and take initiative. Vega's best people do not wait to be told what to do before finding solutions to problems they have spotted.
  • We believe bureaucracy is the killer of progress. We are focused on creating the minimum viable process to operate with quality at speed.
  • We prioritise talent over tenure. There is no promise of progression without performance – we assess and reward people on impact above all else.
  • We iterate fast. We make decisions amid ambiguity and with imperfect information, and we strive to balance committing to a hypothesis with iterating at low ego.
  • We play to win. Expectations, intensity and ambition are very high, with every single colleague contributing to Vega's success. This often will not be a 9-5.

We know that this culture won’t be for everyone, and we endeavour to make this clear from the beginning of the recruiting process out of respect for your time. Ask yourself whether the above sounds exciting to you in practice every day, and if it does, we would love to hear from you.

Who succeeds in this role

We look for people who match our ambition levels, and then raise it further.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and partner with engineering teams on technical concepts to deliver exceptional AI-first solutions. Prototype instead of writing specs.
  • Own an agentic surface end-to-end and decide what runs unattended and what needs a human.
  • Keep every autonomous action explainable and reversible. Own the tradeoffs on reliability, latency and cost.
  • Sit with GP and LP ops teams, find the manual work, remove it without breaking their controls.
  • Operate and deliver with a sense of urgency under ambiguous situations in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must.

What we look for:

  • 2+ years in product, ideally somewhere where being wrong is expensive.
  • Hands-on with prompting, context engineering and evals. You've done it yourself, not managed someone who did.
  • You've shipped LLM or agent features to real users, and can say what broke.
  • Enough technical fluency to argue with engineers about retrieval and tool design. Good judgement to know when AI is the wrong answer.
  • Working with GPs/LPs and/or knowledge of Fund administration, KYC/AML or LP portals is an advantage.

Why join us?

  • You will help define the transformation of one of the most influential industries of our time with AI, working alongside an ambitious and dedicated team
  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Benefits including medical insurance, gym membership, learning budget, and more
