Position Summary We're looking for a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead teams building Agentic AI and enterprise messaging platforms on Google Cloud Platform. You'll own the engineering roadmap for systems that power billions of patient communications annually - integrating AI agents into SMS, RCS, and omnichannel messaging while ensuring regulatory compliance at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of engineers, testers, and Data engineers; drive hiring, performance, and career development
  • Own architecture and delivery of multi-agent AI systems on Vertex AI, Gemini models, and GCP AI/ML services
  • Oversee CVS Health's enterprise SMS and RCS messaging platforms — orchestration, routing, carrier integrations, and conversational AI flows
  • Engineer TCPA compliance controls — consent management, suppression lists, opt-out workflows, and audit trails
  • Drive GCP-first infrastructure strategy across GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Dataflow
  • Partner with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate regulatory requirements into durable system controls

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years in software engineering; 4+ years managing engineering teams
  • Production experience with LLMs or agentic AI systems in enterprise environments
  • Hands-on GCP expertise (Vertex AI, GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery)
  • Deep knowledge of SMS/RCS messaging - short codes, aggregators, carrier networks
  • Working knowledge of TCPA compliance and consent management systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Vertex AI Agent Builder, LangChain, or agentic orchestration frameworks
  • RCS Business Messaging (Infobip) or Google Jibe platform experience
  • HIPAA data handling in a regulated health care environment
  • GCP Professional certifications (Developer, Architect or equivalent)

Education

Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field required; Master's preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $260,590.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
