PURPOSE OF ROLE
We're looking for a passionate, problem-solving software engineer to join our team and help build scalable, high-performance messaging and automation systems. You'll work across the stack, from designing robust backend services to integrating modern AI capabilities and third-party messaging platforms. - Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Architect systems with performance, reliability, and scale in mind
- Build and optimize message-queue-driven workflows and asynchronous processing
- Develop interactive, node-based UIs for workflow and automation builders using React Flow
- Integrate with third-party platforms, including Meta APIs, the WhatsApp Business Platform, and payment gateways
- Work with AI/ML features such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and ranking systems
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teammates
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to technical decisions
- Must-Have Skills
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Python
- Hands-on experience with message queues: BullMQ and ActiveMQ
- Solid understanding of system design and scalable system architecture
- Experience with MongoDB and Redis
- Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic engineering mindset
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine team-player attitude
- Nice-to-Have
- Experience integrating payment gateways (billing, transactions, webhooks, reconciliation)
- Front-end experience with React and React Flow for node-based / diagram UIs
- Experience working with Meta APIs and the WhatsApp Business API / Cloud API
- Practical experience with RAG pipelines and ranking / relevance systems
- Comfortable leveraging modern AI developer tools (e.g., Claude) to boost productivity and code quality
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD practices
