We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with 5–7 years of enterprise IT experience, specializing in VMware virtualization, datacenter operations, Windows and Linux Server administration, enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our global infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence across multiple datacentres.
This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience managing enterprise virtualization platforms, and the ability to collaborate with global IT teams on infrastructure modernization initiatives.
What you’ll be doing:
VMware Infrastructure & Virtualization
- Administer and maintain VMware vSphere environments including ESXi, vCenter Server, clusters, resource pools, HA, DRS and vMotion.
- Provision, configure and manage virtual machines following enterprise standards.
- Perform VMware lifecycle management including upgrades, patching, firmware coordination and capacity planning.
- Monitor virtualization performance and proactively optimize compute, memory and storage utilization.
- Troubleshoot complex VMware infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Support enterprise virtualization projects including migrations, hardware refreshes and datacenter expansions.
Datacenter Operations
- Manage enterprise datacenter infrastructure ensuring maximum availability and reliability.
- Support Dell, HPE or equivalent enterprise server hardware.
- Manage SAN/NAS storage platforms including provisioning, expansion and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate server deployments, rack and stack activities and hardware lifecycle management.
- Perform firmware, BIOS and infrastructure upgrades.
- Monitor datacenter health including power, cooling, hardware alerts and environmental monitoring.
System Administration & IT Operations
- Provide L2/L3 support for enterprise infrastructure incidents.
- Administer SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365, Okta, Zoom, Slack, Atlassian, etc.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, PowerCLI, Bash or Python.
- Create and maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs and architecture diagrams.
- Participate in on-call rotation and planned maintenance activities.
- Work closely with Security, Network, Cloud and Engineering teams on global infrastructure initiatives.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Administer enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault or similar.
- Perform backup monitoring, restore validation and disaster recovery testing.
- Support business continuity initiatives and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience working with disaster recovery technologies such as VMware SRM, Zerto or equivalent is highly desirable.
Windows & Linux Server Administration
- Administer Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, File Services, and Windows Failover Clustering.
- Administer enterprise Linux servers (RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, or CentOS) including installation, patching, user management, package management, storage management, and system hardening.
- Perform server provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Manage system services, scheduled jobs, SSH access, and security configurations.
- Monitor server health, performance, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot operating system, hardware, storage, and application issues across Windows and Linux platforms.
Cloud & Infrastructure Operations
- Support hybrid cloud environments across Azure and AWS.
- Assist with cloud infrastructure provisioning and migrations.
- Monitor infrastructure health using enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Participate in infrastructure automation initiatives using PowerShell, PowerCLI or Python.
What We're Looking For:
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role (IT System Administrator)
- Strong hands-on experience administering VMware vSphere environments.
- Experience managing enterprise datacenter operations.
- Strong Windows and Linux Server administration experience.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
- Experience managing enterprise storage (SAN/NAS).
- Experience managing SaaS applications (Microsoft 365/Exchange, DUO, Okta/SSO, Zoom, Slack, etc)
- Experience administering enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam or Commvault.
- Experience supporting Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS infrastructure.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, switching and firewalls.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
