The Business Analyst, Technology Transformation plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing enterprise systems, with a strong focus on ERP operations, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. This role acts as the bridge between business teams, IT, and external vendors by resolving ERP issues, analyzing data using SQL, and translating business needs into clear, actionable documentation.

The ideal candidate is technically hands-on, business-oriented, and an excellent communicator who can operate independently while supporting enterprise-scale initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

ERP Operations & Issue Resolution

  • Own and manage ERP operational tickets (L1/L2), including intake, triage, investigation, resolution, and escalation when required.
  • Debug and resolve ERP-related issues by analyzing configurations, data, integrations, and business processes.
  • Collaborate with ERP vendors, support partners, and internal IT teams to resolve defects and system issues.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions or process improvements to reduce operational overhead.
  • Support ERP enhancements, patches, and upgrades by validating impacts and coordinating testing.

Data Analysis & SQL

  • Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, analyze, reconcile, and validate ERP and operational data.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for data inconsistencies and system issues.
  • Support ad-hoc and recurring reporting needs for business stakeholders.
  • Provide data-backed insights to support decision-making and business cases.
  • Rapidly acquires working knowledge of new platforms and tools where gaps exist, demonstrating strong learning agility.

Business Analysis & Requirements

  • Work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Construction, and other teams to gather and clarify business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, and system interactions.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, ERP capabilities, and long-term technology strategy.

Documentation & Business Cases

  • Create high-quality documentation, including:
  • Business cases
  • Requirements documents
  • Process maps
  • Data definitions
  • Impact and risk assessments
  • Support change management by clearly documenting impacts to users, systems, and data.
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date documentation for ongoing operational and project work.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Identifies opportunities for automation, system optimization, and process redesign.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies and communication tools to improve operational efficiency and data visibility.
  • Ensure solutions align with business strategy, operational realities, and financial discipline.
