Job Summary

Responsible for the design, development, and support of projects that requires up to 120 hours of effort. Continuously contributes to the success of the development team.

Essential Functions

  • Proficient with IS methodologies and processes (i.e. Project Life Cycle, System Development Life Cycle and IS Change Management process).
  • Contributes to the design application solution, which will support the current and future Information Systems strategy.
  • Collects, documents, analyzes, verifies, communicates, and tests system solutions.
  • Communicates and shares progress of development tasks with senior development team members.
  • Approximately 80%25 of the time is spent analyzing, designing, developing, and supporting application solutions. The other 20%25 is spent assisting the senior development team with managing projects.
  • Participates in technical requirements and design sessions.
  • Continually builds competencies and enhances knowledge and awareness of Industry standards, trends and best practices in order to strengthen the project and/or technical team and organizational knowledge.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge of business area being supported.
  • Experience managing small projects.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Basic level of technical knowledge of development, testing methodologies, programming languages, databases, and operating systems related to the area being supported.
  • Ability to work independently and lead small projects with minimal supervision.
  • Approximate percent of time required to travel: 10%25

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Project Management Professional and/or related current technical certifications preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 – 7 years experience in the Information Technology environment. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
