The Role
As AL/ML Scientist, you will lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions to drive significant business impact, including cost optimization and revenue growth. Reporting to the Head of AI Science, you will be a key strategic advisor and a custodian of institutional AI knowledge.
You will drive the development of predictive modeling use cases, prioritize AI governance, and champion the ethical and responsible use of AI across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of AI/ML techniques, strong leadership skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities and tools in a project-based capacity to accelerate key business objectives, including cost savings and revenue generation.
- · Develop advanced AI solutions, including time series forecasting, reinforcement learning, optimization and optimal decision-making, generative AI, speech and conversational AI, and Graph AI.
- · Champion the exploration and implementation of advanced AI techniques, including time series forecasting, reinforcement learning, optimization, and conversational AI, to address critical business challenges. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of AI innovation.
- · Serve as a key contributor to the Foundation Model Task Force, driving the development and implementation of foundational AI models that will be leveraged across the organization.
- · Ensure that all AI initiatives adhere to the highest standards of trust, transparency, safety, and security, fostering ethical AI practices and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- · Develop and implement AI strategies that align with and accelerate business objectives, delivering tangible outcomes such as improved efficiency, cost reductions, and new revenue streams.
- · Collaborate with business leaders, technical experts, and cross-functional teams to ensure AI/ML initiatives are integrated effectively and aligned with broader business strategies.
- · Stay ahead of industry trends and drive continuous improvement by incorporating emerging AI technologies and methodologies into the organization's toolkit, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of AI innovation.
- · Establish and manage performance metrics for AI/ML projects, ensuring that all initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and achieve desired business outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Ideally 2+ years experience in data science or developing machine learning models, working on cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-faceted AI initiatives.
- · Strong expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining, including time series forecasting, reinforcement learning, optimization, and speech or conversational AI.
- · Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar, and experience with data visualization tools.
- · Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- · Ability to think strategically and drive business results through data insights.
- · Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with enterprise data and AI platforms (e.g., Palantir Foundry or similar), or cloud-based AI/ML tools.
- Experience applying data science to real business problems through internships, research collaborations, or industry projects.
- Exposure to AI/ML governance, ethics, or responsible AI practices.
