Senior Fullstack Engineer (Python / AWS)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (Python / AWS) based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to build and evolve cloud-native products within a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering squad. You will focus on developing scalable Python microservices, RESTful APIs, and data layers running on AWS. A key part of the position is integrating intelligent capabilities, including AI APIs and LLMs, directly into the product. You will collaborate closely with Frontend, DevOps, and Product specialists to design robust end-to-end solutions. The role combines hands-on backend development with cloud engineering, data modeling, and emerging AI technologies. Accountabilities: Develop and evolve scalable backend services while collaborating across disciplines to deliver reliable cloud-based products and intelligent features.

• Build, maintain, and scale robust microservices and RESTful APIs using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

• Collaborate with Frontend engineers to design efficient API contracts supporting complex experiences such as chat interfaces, semantic search, and dynamic dashboards.

• Integrate AI and LLM capabilities into the product, including prompt orchestration, automated workflows, and text or data generation.

• Model and integrate relational and NoSQL databases to support efficient persistence, querying, API consumption, and AI context retrieval.

• Design data structures that support use cases such as semantic search and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Work closely with DevOps specialists to support deployment, containerization, and infrastructure maintenance across AWS environments.

• Contribute to cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateway, EC2, and RDS.

• Maintain high standards of software quality through clean coding practices, automated testing, and peer code reviews.

• Collaborate within an agile, multidisciplinary squad involving Backend, Frontend, DevOps, and Product specialists.

• Investigate emerging technologies and contribute to architectural decisions and complex technical integrations.

• Take ownership of end-to-end delivery and ensure technology choices remain aligned with real product and user needs.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong backend engineering experience with Python, practical AWS expertise, and an interest in integrating AI capabilities into production applications. You should be comfortable working collaboratively across disciplines and taking ownership of technical solutions from design through delivery.

• Solid professional experience in Backend or Full-Stack software development using Python.

• Hands-on experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

• Practical experience building and deploying solutions on AWS, including services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateway, EC2, and RDS.

• Practical experience integrating AI and LLM APIs, such as OpenAI or Amazon Bedrock.

• Familiarity with LLM orchestration libraries such as LangChain or similar technologies.

• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, particularly for microservices persistence and efficient querying.

• Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary engineering squads.

• Practical experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience developing autonomous AI workflows, AI agents, or multi-agent systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with agent-focused frameworks such as AgentCore, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen is a plus.

• Knowledge of RAG, semantic search, and vector databases such as OpenSearch, Pinecone, or Pgvector is a plus.

• Familiarity with Frontend technologies such as React, Vue, Angular, or TypeScript for small adjustments and end-to-end proofs of concept is a plus.

• Experience with Serverless architectures and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.

• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across Backend, Frontend, DevOps, and Product disciplines.

• Product-oriented mindset, with the ability to understand how technology and AI can address real customer needs.

• Proactive and autonomous approach to researching technologies, proposing architectures, and technically leading complex integrations.
