As a Public Benefit Corporation and Certified B Corp, we’re committed to supporting farming communities, sourcing responsibly, and building products that are better for people and the planet. We move fast, stay scrappy, and care deeply about doing the right thing.

We’re now looking for someone who’s excited to join a growing, purpose-driven company and help shape what comes next.

What You’ll Do: The Vita Coco Company is seeking an experienced Impact Project Manager to support our upcoming B Corp recertification process and broader impact strategy initiatives. This role will serve as a key partner to the VP of Sustainability & Social Impact, helping assess, strengthen, and implement systems, policies, and governance structures required under the latest B Corp standards. The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with experience in sustainability, ESG, corporate governance, social impact, or B Corp certification. They will help coordinate cross-functional teams, identify organizational gaps, and drive implementation efforts across departments to support successful recertification.

  • Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities across applicable impact topics.
  • Develop recommendations, implementation plans, and prioritization frameworks to address identified gaps.
  • Support interpretation and application of evolving B Lab requirements.

Project Management & Implementation

  • Support in the development and maintenance of detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and accountability trackers.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across departmental teams.
  • Drive execution of approved action plans and monitor progress toward recertification requirements.
  • Facilitate working sessions, stakeholder meetings, and status updates.
  • Collect, coordinate, and verify both qualitative and quantitative data from internal department owners.

Advisory & Technical Support

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on B Corp-related projects and best practices.
  • Provide guidance on governance, impact measurement, policies, documentation, and management systems.
  • Support development or enhancement of policies, procedures, and governance frameworks where needed.
  • Research emerging B Corp requirements and peer company practices.

Certification Management

  • Support preparation, organization, and submission of documentation required throughout the recertification process including relationships with certifying bodies, partners, and advisors.
  • Manage requests, deadlines, and communications associated with the certification review.
  • Help ensure audit readiness and maintain organized project records.
  • Identify risks to certification timelines and propose mitigation strategies.

What You’ll Bring to Vita Coco:

Required

  • 6+ years of experience in project management, sustainability, ESG, social impact, corporate responsibility, corporate governance, or related fields.
  • Direct experience with B Corp certification, recertification, or B Impact Assessment processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Preferred

  • Experience integrating newly acquired business units or entity into ESG strategies and certification.
  • Working experience with public company filings or regulatory-adjacent reporting.
  • Consulting experience supporting organizational change or sustainability transformation initiatives.

  • Comprehensive B Corp gap assessment and readiness review.
  • Prioritized roadmap of actions required for recertification.
  • Cross-functional implementation plan with owners, milestones, and timelines.
  • Development or enhancement of key policies, governance processes, and supporting documentation.
  • Ongoing project management and coordination across recertification workstreams.
