About Metaforms
At Metaforms, we're redefining how market research gets done.
Our AI platform empowers the world's leading research agencies to scale 10x faster without compromising on quality. With AI Agents augmenting survey programming, data processing, and project management, we help customers like Dynata, Savanta, and Borderless Access deliver more projects with less effort.
- 1,000+ surveys processed on our platform every month
- Trusted by agencies serving Fortune 500 companies
- Rapid month-over-month growth across customers and volume
- $9M Series A raised to aggressively scale the team and product
The Role
We're hiring a QA Engineer to own the reliability, accuracy, and quality of our AI-powered research automation products.
QA at Metaforms is a different problem from testing standard SaaS. Our platform generates surveys, processes research data, and automates workflows where a subtle logic error can create real downstream cost for an agency and its clients. Output isn't always deterministic, edge cases hide in survey logic and data handoffs, and "looks fine" isn't the same as "correct."
You'll be the gatekeeper between QA and production — designing test plans, hunting edge cases, validating fixes, and running end-to-end checks on critical components so that every release ships clean. Your judgment on what to test, and how deeply, directly shapes the trust our customers place in the product.
What You'll Do
Test Design & Execution
- Design and maintain manual test plans for product features and workflows across the platform
- Identify edge cases and boundary values others miss, and translate them into detailed, reusable test cases
- Perform functional and regression testing for tickets, bug fixes, and enhancements
- Conduct end-to-end testing of critical components during QA → Production release cycles
Quality Operations
- Manually verify failed cases from automation test runs and separate real defects from flaky tests
- Document and track defects with clear, reliable reproduction steps that engineering can act on immediately
- Contribute to release sign-off decisions — knowing when something is ready to ship, and when it isn't
Collaboration
- Work closely with product, engineering, and automation QA teams to keep release cycles fast and smooth
- Feed recurring defect patterns back into the team so quality improves upstream, not just at the gate
What We're Looking For
Must-have
- 2–4 years of QA / software testing experience, ideally on web-based products
- Strong command of test case design, regression testing, and release validation
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, or similar)
- Critical thinking and genuine curiosity about how things break — you find the edge cases specs don't mention
- Sharp attention to detail and high standards for what "done" means
- Clear written communication — your bug reports and test documentation should need no follow-up questions
Nice-to-have
- Experience testing SaaS or AI products, especially where outputs are non-deterministic
- Exposure to automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) or interest in growing into automation
- Familiarity with market research or survey programming workflows
- Basic SQL or API testing skills (Postman or similar)
Why Join Metaforms
- Shape quality standards for AI-driven products at the frontier of research automation — a genuinely harder and more interesting QA problem than typical SaaS
- Work with a high-agency, motivated team of engineers, product thinkers, and designers
- Zero bureaucracy — your findings drive decisions, and releases don't move without your sign-off
- Join a Series A funded company at the steepest part of its growth curve
Benefits
- Full family health insurance
- $1,000 USD annual reimbursement for skill development
- Dedicated mentor/coach support
- Free lunch and dinner at the office
- Monthly food and snacks allowance
