Key Responsibility Areas:

Identifies and defines the immediate, short- and long-term objectives/plans associated with the delivery of Mechanical Engineering and project management of components for building development, mechanical asset management and life cycle maintenance and project services.
Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the Mechanical Building Services Branch.
Prepares capital and operating estimates for the Branch and approves and controls operational and project related expenditure against the budget allocations.
Manages the formulation of specific contracts and tender documents and controls obligations.
Directs and controls the key activities mechanical engineering building solution as standalone design or along a multi-disciplinary team projects/programmes and critical project phases for encompassing installation, managing existing infrastructure/commissioning, operation of complex mechanical building control systems, supply and conveying systems.
Disseminates strategic, functional and operational information on the immediate, short- and long-term objectives.

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering (NQF Level 8) in Mechanical Engineering.
Registered as a Professional Mechanical Engineer with the Engineering Council of South

Africa (ECSA).

Valid motor vehicle driving license
8 years relevant experience of which 5 years must be post registration experience.
