Key Responsibility Areas:
- Identifies and defines the immediate, short- and long-term objectives/plans associated with the delivery of Mechanical Engineering and project management of components for building development, mechanical asset management and life cycle maintenance and project services.
- Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the Mechanical Building Services Branch.
- Prepares capital and operating estimates for the Branch and approves and controls operational and project related expenditure against the budget allocations.
- Manages the formulation of specific contracts and tender documents and controls obligations.
- Directs and controls the key activities mechanical engineering building solution as standalone design or along a multi-disciplinary team projects/programmes and critical project phases for encompassing installation, managing existing infrastructure/commissioning, operation of complex mechanical building control systems, supply and conveying systems.
- Disseminates strategic, functional and operational information on the immediate, short- and long-term objectives.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering (NQF Level 8) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Mechanical Engineer with the Engineering Council of South
Africa (ECSA).
- Valid motor vehicle driving license
- 8 years relevant experience of which 5 years must be post registration experience.
