Job Title: Engineering Manager – Systems Solutions Delivery

Location: Various locations across the UK & Scotland , hybrid - up to 3 days on site. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Circa £74,290 dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing:

As an Engineering Manager – Systems Solutions Delivery you will lead the delivery of engineering activities across multiple workstreams within a mission system capability and integration programme. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the role is responsible for delivering integrated software and hardware solutions that meet customer requirements for performance, cost, and schedule. The position also oversees engineering inputs from internal programmes, enterprise initiatives, and external partners to ensure effective integration, governance, and delivery across the full system lifecycle.

Core duties:

  • You will lead and coordinate the delivery and management of the Hybrid Navy capability projects to which they are assigned (this may be multiple coherent workstreams for multiple customers).
  • You will maintain engineering management plans, schedules, and interfaces for each project.
  • You will coordinate engineering inputs across design, build, integration, test, acceptance, and transition to service through generation of required work products and supporting artefacts
  • You will liaise with customer and design teams to facilitate delivery and acceptance integrated system solutions..

Essential skills:

  • Proven track record of leading and managing design and engineering teams
  • Managing complexity, risks and uncertainty in complex projects
  • Academic qualification in a STEM related subject, and ability/willingness to become a Chartered Engineer through an appropriate recognised professional institution

The Combat Systems Team:

This is an opportunity for you to come into a team-based environment with hybrid, cross site working on new technologies and ways of working. You will gain exposure to new projects and part of the advancements in Royal Navy Systems.

This will be a highly visible role, with demanding use of software that is developed with a aim for it to be running within a Naval Ship environment.
