As a Sr Adv Appl/Sys Sales Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organization's growth and success. You will lead a team of skilled sales engineers and collaborate with various departments to promote our complex applications and system solutions. Your responsibilities will include formulating and executing sales strategies, providing technical expertise, and building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Project Engineering & Execution

  • Lead and execute Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Honeywell quality standards, project specifications, and industry regulations.
  • Coordinate closely with customers, EPC contractors, manufacturing plants, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Review and validate engineering deliverables including electrical single line diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and control system architectures.
  • Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities as required.
  • Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation plans to minimize impact on safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

Technical Engineering & Solutions

  • Provide technical expertise for instrumentation, electrical equipment, analyzers, field devices, and related automation solutions.
  • Review customer technical specifications and develop fit-for-purpose engineering solutions that meet project and operational requirements.
  • Drive engineering optimization and cost reduction initiatives through standardization, design improvements, and alternative technical solutions.
  • Ensure engineering designs comply with applicable international standards, industry codes, and customer specifications.
  • Prepare and review E&I engineering drawings and documentation

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a primary technical interface between customers, suppliers and factories.
  • Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, technical consultation, and issue resolution.
  • Support technical meetings, design reviews, progress discussions, and project reporting activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during proposal development, project execution, and post-delivery activities.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all E&I engineering activities comply with Honeywell Quality Management System requirements.
  • Promote and maintain compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) standards and industry best practices.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet customer quality expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering quality and project execution effectiveness.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of engineering and project execution experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Offshore, Marine, Power, or Industrial Automation industries. 
  • Hands-on experience with Electrical & Instrumentation systems, process instrumentation, analyzers, gas metering and Pressure Regulating.
  • Experience in FAT, SAT, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting 
  • Technical Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, transmitters, analyzers, flow measurement systems, control valves, pressure regulators, and electrical systems.
  • Understanding of applicable international standards and codes such as IEC, ISA, API, NEC, ATEX, and IECEx.
  • Ability to interpret and review engineering documents, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classification and instrumentation design is preferred.
