Job Purpose
Lead, create, and implement innovative technical activities and solutions in the areas of company/department Business Plan, New Model, and Mass Production to efficiently meet or exceed Safety, Environmental, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale (SEQDCM) characteristics targets.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop skills in all aspects of manufacturing from mechanical, electrical, and controls viewpoint to fully understand equipment and processes requirements.
- Provide leadership to reports representing Honda Philosophy with honest, fair, and consistent treatment and communication.
- Lead daily equipment downtime, quality, safety & efficiency concerns to achieve department SQP KPIs.
- Design concepts and equipment solution methods to meet the technical requirements established by PDCA analysis, Business Plan, or New Model projects.
- Provided leadership, support, for Technical Engineering and Equipment Service Associates.
- Lead daily equipment downtime, quality, safety & efficiency concerns to achieve department SQP KPIs.
- Design concepts and equipment solution methods to meet the technical requirements established by PDCA analysis, Business Plan, or New Model projects.
- Provided leadership, support, for Technical Engineering and Equipment Service Associates.
- Create and manage manpower, expense & investment budgets and schedules required for the needed equipment designs to support PDCA, Business Plan, or New Model activity cost targets and project deadlines.
- Support quality and process activity plans for Equipment confirmations to ensure a spike less effect on production after implementation.
- Lead & support technical training and development of Eng, ES , & PS staff.
- Maintain a high level of safety for oneself and Department associates from an equipment
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- BS in Mech/Elec/Industrial Engineering or related experience.
Minimum Experience:
- 8+ years, based on education
Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Leadership and planning/organization skills required. Good problem solving and communications skills. High technical knowledge and manufacturing experience.

Working Conditions
- Any physical job function to fit within Honda ergonomic guidelines.
- Work environment is office or manufacturing clean room.
- Occasional travel is required either domestic or international for training or equipment confirmations.
- Five to ten overtime hours is typical but could be more based on project or equipment downtimes.
