Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and executing complex cross-functional projects across Milacron using industry-standard project management tools, methodologies, and governance frameworks. This role serves as a key execution partner to Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, with high quality, and in alignment with business objectives. The Project Manager drives accountability, risk management, stakeholder communication, and execution discipline to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities / Objectives

  • Lead & Manage end-to-end industrial project lifecycle including concept, design reviews, procurement, manufacturing readiness, installation, commissioning, handover, and closure.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resources, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive and control change management process for any change In CTQ
  • Use proactive risk mitigation planning techniques
  • Serve as the primary project lead coordinating activities across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, Quality, and Commercial functions.
  • Drive project governance, accountability, and timely decision-making through regular project reviews and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage project risks, issues, constraints, and critical path activities, proactively identifying mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Own project communications, status reporting, executive updates, and stakeholder management.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering changes, manufacturing readiness, process improvement initiatives, cost reduction projects, and operational transformation programs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and resolve project roadblocks through influence and effective communication.
  • Track project performance through dashboards, KPIs, action logs, and project health metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized project management methodologies, templates, and governance processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance execution excellence and speed-to-market.
  • Manage external suppliers, consultants, and service partners when applicable.
  • Ensure process compliance at each review stage ensuring the project is within the defined scope
  • Should be able to control all 9 management areas in project management
  • Introduce both predictive and preventive KPI for projects

Leadership Scope

This role operates across multiple functions and business units, influencing project outcomes without direct reporting authority. The Project Manager works closely with business leaders and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining alignment with strategic business objectives.

Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of overall professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Project Management, Program Management, or Technical Project Management.
  • Proven experience leading complex cross-functional projects within manufacturing, industrial equipment, engineered products, machine design, or product development environments.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, execution, risk management, change management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience working in global, matrix-based organizations and leading teams through influence.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting business objectives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication capabilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Strong exposure to heavy industry, manufacturing operations, industrial equipment, capital projects, or engineered-to-order product environments.
  • Working knowledge of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and compliance requirements in factory, shop-floor, or heavy engineering environments.
  • Experience coordinating with engineering, production, supply chain, quality, service, and external suppliers to resolve constraints impacting schedule, cost, quality, or technical performance.
  • Ability to lead technical reviews, manufacturing feasibility checks, design-change impact assessments, and stage-gate readiness reviews.
  • Strong understanding of supplier follow-up, long-lead item tracking, BOM readiness, capacity constraints, and industrial project dependency management.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Business, or a related discipline required.
  • PMP Certification is mandatory.
  • MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Operations, or Project Management will be an added advantage.

Travel

Approximately 15-20% domestic and international travel may be required based on project and business needs.
