At Canada Life, the Senior Solutions Architect, Advisor Compensation Platforms leads the architecture, modernization, integration, and evolution of mission-critical advisor compensation capabilities, including Siebel CRM, FASAT, advisor management, data integration, and reporting solutions.

This role is the primary architectural authority for advisor compensation technology, partnering with business, product, technology, vendor, and enterprise architecture teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions for onboarding, hierarchy management, commission processing, compensation reporting, and digital transformation.

What You Will Do

  • Architecture leadership: Define target-state architecture, solution roadmaps, modernization strategies, and governance for Siebel, FASAT, and related compensation platforms.
  • Domain expertise: Translate advisor compensation, commission, hierarchy, contract, licensing, and payment requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Integration strategy: Design integrations across Siebel CRM, FASAT, Data Lake, Salesforce, policy administration systems, ETL platforms, APIs, messaging, and reporting consumers.
  • Modernization: Evaluate technologies, reduce technical debt, support cloud adoption, and shape future-state compensation platform transformation.
  • Operational excellence: Improve resiliency, availability, security, performance, monitoring, disaster recovery, and incident/root cause practices.
  • Leadership and collaboration: Mentor technical teams, influence investment decisions, and partner with business stakeholders, vendors, product owners, and enterprise architects.

What You Will Bring

Experience and Technical Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years as a Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Senior Technical Lead.
  • Strong experience with Siebel CRM, FASAT, advisor compensation/commission systems, enterprise application integration, and data architecture.
  • Experience designing integrations using APIs, ETL, messaging, event-driven architectures, SQL, Oracle technologies, middleware, and enterprise architecture practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud hosting, enterprise security, resiliency, operational support, monitoring, and disaster recovery models.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, data lakes, analytics platforms, and policy administration systems is an asset.

Business Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of financial services, insurance, wealth management, advisor compensation, contracts, distribution operations, and regulatory considerations.
  • Ability to align technology decisions with business strategy, operational risk, and enterprise standards.

Leadership Competencies

  • Strategic thinking, architecture governance, executive communication, stakeholder management, problem solving, influencing without authority, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial services experience and architecture certifications such as TOGAF, Azure, AWS, Oracle, or related credentials are preferred.
  • Experience modernizing legacy, business-critihcal compensation, commission, or distribution technology platforms is an asset.

The base salary for this position is between $119,300 - $169,300 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
