What they look for
Requirements
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field and possess at least 5 years of professional experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical needs into structured product requirements are essential.
Full description
This is a role on the “PDT AI Solutions Program Team”. The team is responsible for spreading and managing efforts to apply AI-based technologies across the Product Development and Technology (PDT) organization.
Vision
The vision for this team to transform the large PDT organization into one where, everybody, from engineers to executives, is daily using best relevant AI technology to move faster, do more, and delight customers, and where the AI is production-grade, at scale, trustworthy, and adapted to Stellantis people.
Mission
To get to that vision, we set our mission as improving PDT efficiency, speed, inventiveness, and quality, as well as Stellantis customer satisfaction, by setting-up, maintaining, and ensuring delivery:
1) projects for shared tools and resources to allow PDT teams to build their own AI-based applications and processes, as well as
2) projects for from-the-scratch, turn-key AI-based applications and processes for PDT teams that don’t have the resources to build their own;
while taking advantage of latest AI tech adapted to our people.
Role Responsibilities
The role is that of a Product Manager and it has the following primary responsibilities:
- Researches problems and needs across PDT where AI could help (which relies on understanding other teams, as well as some level of understanding of the available technology).
- Receives requests or ideas for AI-based solutions within a portfolio of domains, documents them and prioritizes them, using a database that consistently captures key project attributes, including initial quantification of potential benefits and project resources needed, risks, and alignment with team and organizational strategic priorities.
- At least for each prioritized project, captures the problem, or a set of problems or needs, to be addressed by an AI-based product, into a Product Requirements Document (PRD), which among other elements at least defines: current situation, history, and other relevant context; problem or need statement, specific top-level goals to achieve, metrics for judging success and measuring the solution quality, criteria for launching the product; quantification of benefits that a solution would bring; aspects considered outside the scope of the product; persona descriptions, uses cases, and scenario walkthroughs; key expected features, along with their expected behaviors, inputs/outputs, user interactions and interface expectations and mock-ups, acceptance criteria, and quality metrics; scalability expectations and potential; non-functional requirements, such as safety, security, privacy, compliance, and accessibility; known technical constraints; project timing expectations. Refines PRD over time.
- Leads a team consisting of a Solution Architect (who leads laying out the top-level technical solution architecture options for addressing the needs captured in the PRD), and a Project Manager (who facilitates lighting up the needed resources establishes and monitors plan timelines and obstacles).
- Starts up projects by engaging the Solution Architect, Project Manager, and key contributing teams.
- Manages and is accountable for portfolio consisting of a number of projects spanning a number of related domains.
- Acts as a primary representative of the portfolio of projects to the Program Director, including communicating progress, escalating problems, and providing suggestions for improvements.
- Contributes to setting the team strategy, plans, and team processes.
