Full description

Position Summary • Leads strategy and design of cloud infrastructure including governance and compliance frameworks.

  • Develops and maintains IT architectural [JJ1.1] documentation and associated artifacts.
  • Serves as technical advisor to leadership.
  • Provide leadership within a Cloud Center or Excellence (CCoE) driving cloud adoption and maturity.
  • Lead Cloud Financial Management and cost governance Initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI-enabled engineering platforms, copilots, and automation capabilities that improve cloud engineering productivity and solution quality.
  • Leads design and implementation of data protection and cyber resiliency strategies for Cloud Platforms.
  • Oversee Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and mentor other Engineer and Architects.
  • In collaboration with CyberSecurity team, evaluate, recommend and implement security technologies for Cloud platforms.
  • Leads strategic cloud initiatives that support technology roadmaps and business goals.
  • Lead root-cause analysis of IT issues (break/fix), documenting findings, and implementing avoidance opportunities.
  • Collaborate with team members, colleagues, consultants, and vendors to effectively analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Defines and follows established processes to ensure that issues are resolved, and work is performed according to operational standards.
  • Serve as highest internal level of escalation for Cloud infrastructure issues and develops root cause analysis reporting.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call escalation support as needed by the business.
  • Provides well-written technical documentation and demonstrate strong oral communication skill.
  • In collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, Leads in developing technology roadmaps.
  • Leads in the development of operations policies, procedures and best practices.

Minimum Requirements • Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field with 8 or more years of relevant work experience - OR - High School diploma or equivalent may be substituted for a degree with 10 years of relevant work experience.

  • 8 or more years of relevant experience working with Public Cloud Infrastructure, Server Operating Systems, Data Protection technologies, DevOps-CI/CD, Monitoring/Alerting, and Cloud security.
  • At least two advanced relevant certifications required or obtained within one year of start date. Examples of advanced certifications include but not limited to) Microsoft AZ-305, AZ-400, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Terraform Authoring & Operations Professional. 
  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of complex Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of scripting tools (ex. Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (Ex. NIST, HIPAA, HiTrust, etc).
  • Experience leading project teams in the design and implement of new solutions.
  • Proven ability to work with other technical teams/architects in a collaborative and supportive manner.
  • Independently motivated to seek knowledge in areas of responsibility and mentor other engineers in areas of expertise.

Pay Range $106,745.60 - $155,584.00/year
