Job Purpose:

TD SYNNEX is expanding its warehouse and distribution network, including next generation, highly automated facilities. We're looking for a Low Voltage Cabling Design Manager to own the structured cabling design process end to end. This person will work directly with site stakeholders to define low voltage cabling needs (data, voice, wireless access points, security, AV, and warehouse automation infrastructure), then translate those needs into scopes of work that get competitively bid to qualified cable integrators. This is a hands on, site facing role. You'll spend significant time walking warehouse floors, meeting with site operations and construction teams, and validating that designs match real world conditions before they go out to bid.

What You'll Do

  • Travel to warehouse and distribution center sites (up to 70%) to conduct site walks, gather requirements, and assess existing infrastructure conditions
  • Partner with site operations, facilities, construction, and automation teams to define low voltage cabling requirements, including data, voice, Wi-Fi, security systems, and robotics or automation connectivity where applicable    •
  • Translate site requirements into detailed cabling design packages, including cable pathway plans, rack and patch panel layouts, drop counts, and labeling standard
  • Develop scopes of work and bid packages for low voltage cabling projects and manage the competitive bid process among qualified cable integrators.
  • Evaluate integrator bids for technical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with company cabling and connectivity standards.
  • Ensure all designs align with TD SYNNEX's Global Network Connectivity Standard and site classification requirements. Review integrator work in progress and at completion to confirm designs were executed correctly, including reviewing test results and as built documentation. Maintain design templates, standard details, and bid documentation to improve consistency and speed across future site projects.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact between site stakeholders, integrators, and the broader network team throughout each project. Support budgeting and cost estimation for cabling scopes as part of broader site buildout planning

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in structured cabling design, low voltage project management, or a related infrastructure role
  • Working knowledge of copper and fiber cabling standards (TIA/EIA), pathway and spaces design, and telecom room or MDF/IDF layout
  • Experience writing scopes of work and managing competitive bid processes with third party integrators or contractors
  • Comfort reading and marking up architectural, electrical, or facility drawings
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical site stakeholders and vice versa
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 70%, including to active construction or warehouse environments
  • BICSI certification (RCDD or equivalent) preferred, or willingness to obtain within a defined period
  • Experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or industrial environments a plus
  • Familiarity with wireless site survey concepts and warehouse automation connectivity needs a plus
  • Every warehouse we build or upgrade depends on a cabling foundation that has to be right the first time, since retrofits are expensive and disruptive to live operations. This role sits at the center of that process, ensuring what gets designed on paper actually gets built correctly in the field.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 Years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree with Network Engineering or Related Field of Study preferred.
  • Other Education / Certifications: - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise, CCNP Data Center, Microsoft Azure Associate, Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE)  Specialist, F5 (or other load balancer) Certified Administrator, Solar Winds Certified Professional
  • Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
  • Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
  • Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
  • Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
  • Able to exhibit ability to be sensitive to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others.
  • Able to quickly learn new systems and technology.
  • Able to use relevant computer system applications at an advanced level

Working Conditions:

  • Consistent non-standard work or overtime as business requires.
  • On-call availability required as necessary.
  • Professional, office environment.
