About the Role

Reporting to the Salesforce Platform Owner within Information Technology Services, the Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for providing technical and design expertise for ST Vic’ Salesforce platforms and connected systems, supporting the delivery of a consolidated regulatory platform that is scalable, secure and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

The responsibilities of the Senior Salesforce Developer will include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing Salesforce solutions in line with agreed standards, methods and architecture
  • Configuring, integrating and customising Salesforce platforms and connected systems, and leading custom development where required
  • Translating business requirements into fit-for-purpose technical solutions that make best use of native Salesforce functionality
  • Supporting solution design, impact assessments and technical recommendations, including technology options, trade-offs and associated risks
  • Leading Salesforce DevOps processes and high-quality delivery practices
  • Undertaking testing activities to support build quality and platform integrity
  • Working collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders and technical specialists
  • Providing technical advice and support across the delivery cycle
  • Implementing standards and practices to ensure platform stability through a low-customisation approach
  • Delivering project outcomes and platform backlog items

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced Salesforce developer with strong technical capability, sound judgement and a practical approach to solution delivery.

The successful candidate is expected to have the following:

  • Demonstrable experience working in Salesforce development roles in complex environments, including the delivery of scalable and well-designed platform solutions.
  • Strong capability in translating business requirements into technical outcomes and working effectively within enterprise architecture settings will be essential.
  • Demonstrated experience working in agile and hybrid delivery environments, with strong stakeholder engagement, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience contributing to DevOps practices, solution delivery and technical uplift will be highly regarded.

Additionally, a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams will be important in this role.

Qualifications

Mandatory certifications include:

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer
  • Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
  • Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer

Desirable:

  • A Salesforce Certified Architect certification is desirable
  • Equivalent relevant professional experience in senior Salesforce development roles may also be considered where appropriate.
