As an Analyst, Wealth & Private Finance, you'll support one of CommBank's most dynamic and growing businesses. Wealth & Private serves affluent and high-net-worth customers through specialist banking, wealth, investing and insurance solutions.  

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Private Finance, you'll contribute to financial reporting, forecasting, planning and commercial analysis that helps leaders make informed decisions. This is an excellent opportunity to build your finance business partnering capability while gaining exposure to a broad range of stakeholders across Finance and the Wealth & Private business.

Retail Banking Services (RBS) Finance partners with businesses across CommBank to provide objective analysis, trusted advice and decision support that helps improve financial performance, productivity and customer outcomes.  

Within RBS Finance, the Distribution Finance team provides commercial insights and financial management support to the Wealth & Private business. Our team is committed to continuous improvement, collaboration and developing future finance talent.  

Your impact

In this role, you will:

  • Support monthly performance reporting, forecasting, planning and financial control activities.
  • Assist with financial modelling and analysis across revenue, expenses, productivity, frontline performance and other key business drivers.
  • Contribute to reporting and presentations for leadership teams and Finance stakeholders.
  • Provide ad hoc commercial analysis and business insights to support decision-making.
  • Support planning, forecasting and target-setting activities.
  • Utilise Tableau and other reporting tools to enhance insight generation and process efficiency.
  • Assist with subsidiary reporting requirements, including board papers, financial statements and audit deliverables when required.
  • Build strong relationships with Finance and business stakeholders across Wealth & Private.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and a high-performing team culture.

 

We're interested in hearing from people who have

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Analytics or a related numerate discipline.
  • Experience preparing financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations or management information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
  • Exposure to Tableau or other data visualisation tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of banking or financial services is desirable.
  • Progress towards, or completion of, a professional qualification such as CA, CPA or MBA.
