The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a Business Process Improvement Analyst for the Visalia, CA site. The Business Process Improvement Analyst works independently under close supervision, executes the continuous improvement strategy and approach by translating business objectives into actionable projects. Engages with other departments to sustain, improve, and streamline all processes with a primary focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. As part of the Business Process Improvement Team, supervises change agents and team members on small project tasks.

* This position is located onsite in Visalia, CA.

Works independently under close supervision, executes the continuous improvement strategy and approach by translating business objectives into actionable projects. Engages with other departments to sustain, improve, and streamline all processes with a primary focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. As part of the Business Process Improvement Team, supervises change agents and team members on small project tasks.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ yrs experience in Distribution; familiarity with a variety of functional areas (Purchasing, Inventory, Distribution, WMS Systems); EWM experience a plus.
  • Experience implementing LEAN or Lean Six Sigma methodologies preferred; Six Sigma certification a plus.
  • Able to work in a DC environment on the floor.
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations to multiple levels of management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (oral, written and presentation skills to all levels of an organization).
  • Project management skills (ability and experience leading 5+ projects at a time).
  • Ability to work within a team environment and clearly communicate individual objectives.
  • Microsoft Office Software – intermediate skill level (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams)

HOW YOU WILL THRIVE

  • Design, lead and/or participate in Lean continuous improvement events related to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost/Efficiency.
  • Conduct Process Audits, Safety Gembas and Waste Walks across DC network.
  • Maintain SOPs and Documentation.
  • Develop and maintain select trainings for the Distribution network, including train-the-trainer programs.
  • Define, capture and analyze data and metrics.
  • Identify and implement EWM enhancements.
  • Project management/Implementation, focused on return on investment analysis of projects.
  • Provide DC operational support (floor leadership).
  • Other duties as defined.
  • Travel up to 50%.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

  • Work within the Distribution centers up to 80% of the time, with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work remotely as needed.
  • Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$78,000.00 - $125,350.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
