We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with German for a client in the telecommunications domain to develop and enhance service-layer APIs and implement new functionalities within a microservices-based architecture, as we are currently ramping up several newly created teams after securing this new strategic client. This is an excellent chance to join early, shape key technical decisions, and contribute to building high‑quality solutions from the ground up in a fast‑growing environment.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot

• Build and expose RESTful APIs for integration with internal and external systems

• Contribute to the migration of legacy systems into modern microservices architectures

• Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

• Integrate services with databases, messaging systems, and third-party platforms

• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend services

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices

• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks

• Work in an agile environment with cross-functional teams

What you'll bring along

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position

• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices-based architectures

• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures

• Experience with container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices

• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)

• Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka is a plus

• Structured and solution-oriented way of working

• Ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams

• Very good English and German communication skills, written and spoken
