This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager - Insurance Experience based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead end-to-end technology initiatives supporting critical insurance business functions. You will manage complex projects across areas such as Policy, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, and related insurance operations. You will own project planning, execution, delivery tracking, stakeholder communication, risk management, and release coordination. Working across business, product, engineering, vendor, and leadership teams, you will ensure projects remain aligned with scope, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations. Your technical understanding will help you navigate integrations, system upgrades, modernization initiatives, and technology delivery challenges. You will also play a key role in ensuring projects meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements within a highly regulated industry. Accountabilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of technology projects supporting insurance functions such as Policy, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, and related operational processes.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, milestones, deliverables, and overall delivery outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain project plans while ensuring priorities, responsibilities, timelines, and expected outcomes are clearly defined.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, vendors, and cross-functional delivery teams to define requirements and coordinate execution.
  • Lead Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including planning sessions, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and other project delivery meetings.
  • Track project progress using Jira or comparable project management and collaboration tools.
  • Coordinate application integrations, system upgrades, production releases, and other technology delivery milestones.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and potential delivery blockers.
  • Provide clear and consistent project status updates, reporting, and escalation communications to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment across business, technical, customer, vendor, and leadership groups.
  • Ensure projects are delivered with appropriate attention to quality, security, compliance, regulatory requirements, scope, and budget.
  • Take ownership of project deliverables and maintain strong follow-through throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery practices, processes, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end technology projects within the insurance industry, financial services, or another highly regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of insurance business functions, particularly Policy, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, or related insurance operations.
  • Proven experience managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience coordinating business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, vendors, and cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies and managing project tracking through Jira or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating application integrations, system upgrades, production releases, and other technology delivery activities.
  • Strong technical project management skills with the ability to understand complex technology initiatives and translate them into actionable delivery plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to provide concise and effective updates to executives, business leaders, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ownership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable operating in environments with ambiguity, shifting priorities, multiple stakeholders, and complex dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of quality, security, compliance, and regulatory considerations within technology delivery.
  • Experience with insurance technology platforms such as Guidewire, Salesforce, Duck Creek, or similar solutions is a strong advantage.
  • Experience supporting system modernization, application integration, data migration, or cloud-based technology initiatives is preferred.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, Agile, or related project management certification is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

  • Willingness to participate in initial on-site orientation and potential client travel as required.
