Full description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Visual Content Designer is a full-time role for a designer who's ready to make the visuals that bring our organizing programs to life. You'll create the participant-facing visual content across Relentless programs — slide decks, graphics, and toolkits — that tens of thousands of people see, use, and share as they learn about upcoming elections and mobilize their friends and family to vote.

You have a strong eye for detail, can work quickly, and are creatively flexible. You're comfortable working from templates and brand guidelines to keep a consistent look across a lot of material. Most of this content is program-facing, so you're at home making things people will actually post and share. If you move easily between different kinds of design work, take feedback well, and are excited to work on a variety of projects, this role is built for you.

This is a full-time cycle role with an end date of November 15th, 2026.

DETAILS & COMPENSATION

Location: Remote

Compensation: $5,250/month

Schedule: Full-time

Hours Expectations: This role requires a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, to accommodate recruitment and event volume. We anticipate a six day workweek in the final stretch, starting in October and running through Election Day.

JOB DUTIES

  • Design slide decks for program events and training.
  • Create graphics and assets for program videos, including informational event videos and how-to videos for Rally, our organizing platform.
  • Design brand assets like logos, headers, and Zoom backgrounds.
  • Create social media graphics, including posts, video clips, gifs, and ads.
  • Make organizer graphics, flyers, and shareable toolkits that staff and participants can post and share.
  • Create visuals for recruitment or partners when needed.
  • Work from existing templates and brand guidelines to keep a consistent look across everything, and suggest where new assets would be helpful.
  • Use our tools — Notion, Canva, Google Workspace, and Slack — to do the work, collaborate across teams, and deliver great work on time.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as they come up, with the expectation that your day-to-day mix of work will shift with program needs.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–3 years of design experience, ideally in organizing, advocacy, campaigns, nonprofits, or another mission-driven setting.
  • Strong Canva design skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Can execute quickly and creatively across a range of formats.
  • Comfortable working from templates and brand guidelines to keep a consistent look across a lot of material.
  • Energized by fast-paced, evolving environments and juggling multiple projects on deadline.
  • Comfort with tools like Notion, Google Workspace, and Slack, or the ability to learn them quickly.
  • Video editing experience is a strong plus.
  • Access to a computer and reliable internet.

We're excited about candidates who are early in their career, with some hands-on experience, and an eagerness to grow.

HOW TO APPLY

In lieu of a cover letter, we'll ask you to answer a couple of short-answer questions and to include a link to 2-3 samples of your design work. It can be as simple as a link to a PDF or a website, and it doesn't need to be fancy — share projects that you’re proud of and that show your design skills.
