About the Role:
The Senior Logistician will serve as a part-time Project Manager (PM) for a federal contract supporting the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The PM will oversee all logistics support service areas, ensuring seamless operations, compliance, and customer satisfaction across multiple locations; The PM will be responsible for leading a team, managing deliverables, and serving as the primary point of contact for the client.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience directly managing successful multi-location logistics services, preferably with federal agencies or government contracts.
- Proven experience managing a project team of logisticians.
- Demonstrated leadership in requirements management, service level agreements, change control management, data analytics, and quality assurance.
- Advanced time management and analytical skills.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency with ServiceNow or similar asset management systems (minimum 2 years’ experience).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance and pass background checks as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with federal property management regulations and agency property policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations for all logistics service areas.
- Oversee and coordinate communications and ensure uninterrupted service performance.
- Identify, report, and proactively resolve risks and issues across service areas.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on federal regulations and agency policies related to logistics and asset management.
- Develop and maintain project management plans.
- Supervise and mentor a team of logistics professionals, ensuring cross-training and professional standards.
- Prepare and deliver required reports and documentation.
- Participate in weekly status meetings and client kick-off meetings.
