About the role:

We're seeking a Project Environmental Manager to join our team for an upcoming project in West Melbourne, Victoria. Our commitment to sustainable practices is unwavering as we strive to positively impact the climate, optimise resources, and safeguard our natural surroundings, plan, implement, and manage solutions to benefit the environment, client and SWC.

  • Ensure communication and compliance with all Project Environmental Legal and other Obligations.
  • Support the construction team during the project start-up phase with the preparation and implementation of Construction. Environmental Management Plans (CEMP), sub-plans, environmental procedures, and environmental construction/work method statements
  • Coordinating the environmental approval process for the project
  • Undertake audits of the CEMP, Sub-plans, EOPs, SWMS and other environmental documentation during the construction phase
  • Experience in contamination, EPA compliance, major earthworks

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • A relevant degree in Environmental Engineering, Planning or Science
  • Minimum 5 years in environmental project management within civil construction
  • Excellent attention to detail with up-to-date knowledge of all Victorian and Commonwealth statutory environmental and planning requirements
  • Experience in implementing and managing Construction Environmental Management Plans and procedures
