Full description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Program Manager to lead the design, development, and validation of Clutch & Fluids Products, including both hardware and software aspects. The experience of wet brakes integrated into e-Motor Driving Modules / e-Axle systems is highly preferred. The role involves customer technical interface, leading engineering development activities, cross-functional collaboration, ensuring compliance with global automotive regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of Clutch and Fluid products, including components, assemblies, and system-level integration (experience and knowledge on brake system products are highly preferred)
  • Lead both hardware and software development activities for brake systems (e.g., control logic, actuation systems, sensors)
  • Act as a technical interface with customers, responsible for requirements clarification, issue resolution, and technical discussions
  • Lead prototype build, validation testing, and product launch activities
  • Ensure product designs meet performance, safety, durability, and timing/cost targets
  • Support the 2D drawings and 3D CAD models in compliance with engineering standards
  • Conduct or support DFMEA, design reviews, and risk assessments
  • Establish and maintain the design guidelines of wet brake components and assembly.
  • Ensure compliance with global automotive regulations and standards (e.g., ECE, FMVSS, ISO, GB standards)
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, testing, manufacturing, purchasing, quality) to ensure successful project delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of brake system technologies and engineering processes

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or related field
  • ≥5 years of experience in automotive Clutch & Fluids products (mandatory)• Experience in automotive brake systems (mandatory), familiar with system simulation and control strategies for braking systems
  • Experience covering both hardware and software aspects is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of automotive brake system design and working principles
  • Familiar with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., ECE R13/R13H, FMVSS, ISO, GB/T)
  • Experience or knowledge in wet friction brake systems is highly preferred• e.g., wet brakes integrated into e-Motor Driving Modules / e-Axle systems
  • Proficient in 2D/3D CAD design tools (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD)
  • Strong understanding of DFMEA, GD&T, and engineering validation processes
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams
  • Customer-oriented mindset with experience in technical communication and issue resolution
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Competencies

  • Project management experience is an advantage
  • Experience with electrified powertrain applications (EV/e-Axle systems)
  • Knowledge of wet friction materials and tribology (especially wet clutch/brake systems.
